Become a Docent

Are you a retired teacher, an art aficionado or just a super friendly and enthusiastic person? Consider becoming a docent at the Akron Art Museum. Docents are specially trained volunteers who guide groups of adults and children through the museum. It’s the docent’s job to encourage discussion and provide information about the museum and the artwork on view. Being a docent offers an extraordinary experience for people who love art, working with others and continually challenging their minds through learning.
