Downtown@Dusk, Zydeco Kings

Thursday, August 9th , 6:30 - 8:30 pm

Enjoy live Zydeco music from Zydeco Kings at the Downtown@Dusk concert. In addition to the concert, patrons can enjoy the following activities:

  • ArtCamp@Dusk, 6:30 – 8:30 pm, Children 7 – 12 years will explore all kinds of fun, wacky and hands-on art activities in the museum’s classroom. Each session is free for members and $5 for non-members.
  • ArtTalk@Dusk, 7:30 – 8 pm, Arnold Tunstall, collections manager of the Akron Art Museum, 90 years of Collecting
  • ArtSale@Dusk, 6:30 – 8:30 pm, Regional artists Morgan Mzik, Todd Jakubsin and Bili Kribbs will be selling their paintings, prints and sculptures onsite. Member discounts are not applicable on consignment items.

As if feasts for the ears and brains aren’t enough, you can also enjoy tasty treats from the museum’s café and quench your thirst with a latte or an imported beer outside under the museum’s terrace. Stop inside and browse the gift shop. The museum’s galleries are open until 9 pm with paid gallery admission. Parking is free after 6 pm in the city deck adjacent to the library.
