Teacher Workshop: Game-ify Your Classroom

School is all fun and games until…well, until forever if you choose! Head to the museum to experience the power and joy of turning your teaching into a game for you and your students. Inspired by the museum’s exhibition Open World: Video Games & Contemporary Art, we’ll explore how games of all sorts can help students develop meaningful, long-lasting connections to classroom curriculum. The event will feature keynote speaker J. Collins, who is the Computer Science Teacher and Robotics Coach at Hathaway Brown School. Collins is also the Ohio Esports Triathlon Tournament Organizer and played an integral role in the Open World Arcade. Collins’ talk will be followed by a cornucopia of games that transforms all subjects from physics to storytelling into playful learning opportunities.

Each $10 registration includes discounted gallery admission AND a drink ticket for the beverage of your choice in the museum’s café. All participants will receive professional development paperwork to submit to their LPDCs.
