Family Film Fest: Kid Flix 1 & 2
Join us for award-winning, family-friendly short films from the 2018 New York International Children’s Film Festival. 2 Sessions (ages 3 - 7 and ages 8+)
Come early for art activities.
Kid Flix 1: Animated Shorts (for ages 3 - 7)
starts at 12:30 pm, ends 1:30 pm
Kid Flix 1 engages the silly side of young film buffs, combining imaginative shorts ranging from microorganisms that host cleaning parties to zoo animals who lead double lives behind the scenes; but most importantly, your little ones will want to cheer for unlikely heroes that get back up from repeated falls.
Kid Flix 2: Live Action & Animated Shorts (for ages 8+)
starts at 2:30 pm, ends at 3:45 pm
Kid Flix 2 With a compelling range of styles and themes, Kid Flix 2 offers clever, thought-provoking films sure to inspire audiences ages 8+ to expand their horizons. In the Grand Prize award-winner Game (USA), AJ has the drive to excel but must push through obstacles to get there. Meanwhile, teamwork takes on different stripes when an odd couple of bears are forced to work together in the hilarious stop-motion short Poles Apart (UK). Plus, the CG-animated wonder Gokurōsama (France) bridges cultures and generations by showing us that even in an automated age, a little human touch can still work wonders.
Free. Registration required due to limited seating in the Charles and Jane Lehner Auditorium.
Gallery admission free for members and children (age 17 and under). Children must be accompanied by an adult.
