Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s legacy inspires transformation through creativity. Celebrate King’s vision by recharging your imagination with hands-on art activities, games and storytelling paired with artists from the museum’s contemporary collection.
Hands-on activities include:
Story-swap • Contribute your memorable family story to our tapestry of family stories
Collaborative Pop Art portraits
Build a time capsule to commemorate important family events
All adults participating in the hands-on activities must be accompanied by a child.
1:15 pm • Guided tour of Jeff Donaldson: Dig, led by Associate Curator Theresa Bembnister
3 pm • Guided tour of work by artists of African descent in the museum collection, led by Director of Education Alison Caplan
Free. No registration required. Gallery admission is free for all. Adults must be accompanied by a child.
