Kids Studio Class: Junk to Treasure

November 8, 2014, 1-3 pm

Broaden the mind of your budding artist by venturing beyond the typical classroom borders. Guided by local working, teaching artists, students create with unique materials, experiential techniques and processes, and mind-opening concepts. Extending outside the studio walls, educators bridge connections between students and artists by exploring art up-close and personal in the museum’s galleries.

Do you keep old junk in your room because it might be useful one day? Give new life to old things by push it beyond the boundaries of “boring.” Stretch your creative limits by using non-traditional tools and materials and, in the process, discover an artworthy treasure.
Guest Artist/Instructor: Dillon Sedar.

Cost per class is $10/member child, $15/nonmember child.

For kids 7-12 (adults welcome to join or go off-site).

Kids Studio Classes are made possible with support from the Charles E. and Mabel M. Ritchie Foundation.
