Jill Levine is best known for covering biomorphic, sculptural forms with highly detailed, hand-painted imagery. She earned a BA from Queens College, New York, in 1975 and an MFA from Yale University in 1977. Levine received a Guggenheim Fellowship in 2000 and a New York Foundation for the Arts Fellowship for sculpture in 2005. Her work is in the collection of Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C. and the Milwaukee Art Museum.
