AAM After Work: Outwit: Puzzle Night

The museum needs your help! A thief has stolen works from the collection and we need you to help recover them. Get a team together or work on your own to solve a series of clues and crack the case.

This event will be hosted on Zoom and led by a museum staff member and groups will be able to work together privately.

Participants must have access to Zoom. It is recommended, though not necessary, to also have access to an additional computer or smartphone.

Free for members, $5 per household registration. For ease of use, we ask that each participating household register individually

Let the museum’s collection inspire your inner poet. Join Wick Poetry Center Director, David Hassler, for a 1 ½ hour virtual workshop where participants will view works of art from the museum’s collection and follow guided prompts to write poetry inspired by the visual art. For “word nerds” and “art lovers” alike, this workshop promises to help people of all ages and experience levels give voice and make their own meaning of the museum’s powerful collection. Do some spring cleaning in your mind with a meditation session inspired by the museum’s Bud and Susie Roger’s Garden. In this session, an instructor from Akron’s Yoga Squared studio will lead a 30 minute, socially distanced outdoor meditation. Afterwards, participants are invited to take a mindful stroll through the garden and galleries. Free for members/$5 non-members. Advanced registration required and space is limited to ensure proper safety measures.
