Akron Contest Instructions
Enter to win in Akron by posting a photo of an Inside|Out work near you on Instagram and tagging @AkronArtMuseum and #InsideOutUSA. Any Akron Inside|Out installation can be the subject or backdrop of your entry. Inside|Out is currently installed in Copley Township, Ellet, Middlebury, and West Akron & Sherbondy Hill. The winning photo will be selected based on beauty and creativity by Knight Arts Challenge Winner and award-winning photographer, Shane Wynn. For inspiration and examples of other Inside|Out photos, visit insideoutusa.org, or search #InsideOutAkron on Instagram.

The winner will also have their photo displayed on the Akron Art Museum Inside|Out website, in the fall 2017 issue of the museum’s quarterly magazine, and on insideoutusa.org along with winners from Detroit, Charlotte, Philadelphia and Miami.
National Prize Details
The winner of the Akron contest will be entered to win a Grand Prize in the National Inside|Out contest. The National Winner will be announced on June 22.

Inside|Out is a community activated arts project that brings reproductions of iconic artworks from the Akron Art Museum’s collection into your neighborhood.
Inside|Out Akron installed ten artworks in Copley Township, Ellet, Middlebury, and West Akron & Sherbondy Hill in spring 2017. The art will be on view in the community through October 2017. #InsideOutAkron

*About Shane Wynn
Shane Wynn is an award-winning editorial photographer shooting for various local publications including Akron Life magazine, The akronist, The Devil Strip and Edible Cleveland magazine. She has had a love for photography and a camera in her hand since age 13. She graduated from The University of Akron with a degree in Fine Art Photography and established Shane Wynn Studio 21 years ago. Shane was recently selected to produce portraits capturing the beauty and pride of the participants of the 2014 Gay Games for an online exhibition organized by Summit Artspace and funded by the Gay Community Foundation. Her newest endeavor is to establish herself as a photo-philanthropist to help raise funds and awareness for causes she supports through photography.
She is a founder of Akronstock.com and has been awarded the Knight Arts Challenge grant for her project #overlooked, which is an on-going series of photographic portraits of a cross section of women leaders in Akron set against the backdrop of underused public spaces, as a way to celebrate their accomplishments while empowering them to improve the city’s landscape.
