Love on High Street is a free, collective wedding ceremony and celebration held outdoors in the Akron Art Museum’s Bud & Susie Rogers Garden (One South High St., Akron, OH 44308). In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony and reception will be moved inside the Akron Art Museum’s Lobby. The collective wedding ceremony will be officiated by the Summit County Probate Court. Music and bakery samples will be provided for the ceremony and a cash bar will be available to purchase champagne.

A collective wedding is a ceremony in which more than one couple gets married at the same time. The officiant will guide each couple in exchanging their vows. This event is limited to 100 couples. One registration is required per couple, guests and community members will need to register separately. Couples must obtain a marriage license from the Summit County Probate Court prior to the ceremony in order to participate. For details on obtaining your marriage license, visit the Summit Count Probate Court website.

Each couple will have one complimentary professional photo taken in the Garden. Photography in the Galleries is prohibited; however, from 3-9 pm, couples are able to pre-register and select a time for discounted photo sessions on the Museum’s campus, including the Galleries. Please contact Katelyn Evans, Manager of Public Engagement, at kevans@akronartmuseum.org to learn more.

This series is in partnership between the Akron Art Museum, Akron Bar Association, Akron-Summit County Public Library, Community Legal Aid, Department of Jobs and Family Services, International Institute of Akron, Reeves Cake Shop, Summit County Domestic Relations Court, Summit County Probate Court, and other area agencies.
