Family Drop In Day: Handle with Care

For Release: October 16

Why use only two-dimensions when you’ve got three to work with!? You are invited to bring your family to the Akron Art Museum on Saturday, November 3, 2012 to create glistening and gleaming sculptures bursting with colorful abstraction.

Handle with Care is part of the museum’s Family Drop-In Day series of educational events and will take place in the Beatrice Knapp McDowell Grand Lobby from 12 – 4 pm. Families can stay for a little or as much time as they would like. Online registration is suggested, visit for more information.

Visit the galleries to find three-dimensional inspiration and feed your creativity by viewing the exhibitions, New Artifacts: Works by Brent Kee Young and Sungsoo Kim and Adolph Gottlieb: Sculptor.

Family Drop In Day activity is FREE, however standard gallery admission applies. Children 17 and under are free, adults $7 and students and seniors $5.

Family Drop-Ins are made possible by a gift from Dominion Foundation.
