Grape Expectations! A Casual Wine and Food Tasting at the Museum

Akron, OH, September 22, 2010 — On Tuesday, October 26 from 6 to 9 pm, the Akron Art Museum will host a casual wine and food tasting, in addition to a silent auction, in the dramatic Beatrice Knapp McDowell Grand Lobby.
Presented by Lexus, Grape Expectations! will feature a variety of wines, as well as beers and spirits, to suit all tastes. Special guest Heather Burns of 91.3 The Summit will be on hand to serve up music, and heavy hors d’oeuvres will be provided by a variety of area restaurants including:

• Hook, Line & Drinkers
• Sushi on the Roll
• The Galaxy
• P.F. Chang’s
• Acme Fresh Market Catering
The evening’s silent auction will offer guests the opportunity to bid on an assortment of exciting wines and lifestyle products. All proceeds from the evening will directly benefit the museum’s school tour program, making it possible for school children of all ages to gain enrichment from first-hand experience with the arts.
Tickets are $50 for Akron Art Museum members and $75 for non-members. With the purchase of a ticket, non-members will automatically receive a one-year green membership to the museum. Library Hours: Wednesday, Thursday and Friday: 11 am – 4 pm
Admission: Adult general admission is $7, Student and Senior (65+) general admission is $5, Children (12 and under) are FREE, members are FREE. On the first Sunday of every month, individual admissions to the collection are FREE. Special exhibitions may require paid admission. No tours available on these days.
