Akron, Ohio—The 32nd season of the summer concert series Downtown@Dusk is scheduled for a spectacular launch on Thursday, July 28, 2016 in the Akron Art Museum’s new Bud and Susie Rogers Garden. 2016 marks the beginning of the concert series’ new home in the Bud and Susie Rogers Garden, a one acre green space and civic commons along the Akron Art Museum’s south border. The innovative design of the Garden will provide a much richer and more enjoyable concert experience for all visitors.

The July 28 concert begins at 6:30 pm with a performance by local act Moustache Yourself, who specialize in French Gypsy Jazz. Upcoming concerts will feature Latin Jazz, Indie Pop Rock, and a performance from Akron rock pioneers, 15 60 75 The Numbers Band, now in their 46th year.

Akron Art Museum Executive Director and CEO Mark Masuoka said, “It’s going to be a tremendous experience to be downtown this summer. We’re proud to present Downtown@Dusk in partnership with the City of Akron on the Lehner Family Foundation Plaza of the museum’s new Bud and Susie Rogers Garden. We’ve scheduled an incredible line-up of local and regional bands and musicians on our Free Thursdays—so grab your lawn chairs and picnic blankets and enjoy seven weeks of extraordinary music along with free admission to the museum’s galleries.”
