One Night | Three Parties: Second Annual SWITCH Fundraiser to Benefit the Akron Art Museum
For Release: October 2008
Akron, Ohio — The Akron Art Museum’s wildly popular fundraiser, SWITCH, is back for its second year with three distinctively hip parties, once again wrapped into one unforgettable night at the world-renowned museum.
On Saturday, November 8, 2008, join co-chairs Matt McCallum and Dana Lobalzo-Saporito for “Let’s Swing,” “I ♥ the 80s” and finally “Hey Mr. D.J.” Although the theme of the music, featured dancers and décor will change three times during the evening, from ‘40s Swing to ‘80s Disco to present-day Hip-Hop, the atmosphere and attire will remain the same – “upscale chic.”
“Attending SWITCH is a great way to support the museum,” said Lobalzo-Saporito. “Matt and I are honored to be this year’s co-chairs, and we hope the community will join us in making the fundraiser a huge success.”
McCallum agrees, adding, “SWITCH isn’t your typical black-tie fundraiser, it is a big, chic, fun, hip party. It is a great way for people of all ages to come together to help support the arts in our communinity.”
