Spark! Film Fest Family Drop in Day
For Release: SUNDAY, May 15, from 12 – 4 pm
Akron, Ohio, April 26, 2011 — The Akron Art Museum and Akron Film Fest invite parents to bring their young film connoisseurs to the museum on SUNDAY, May 15, from 12 – 4 pm to enjoy an afternoon of engaging, high-quality family films in the Charles and Jane Lehner Auditorium.
If you need a break from the regular family offerings at your local multiplex, bring the family to the museum’s Spark! Family Film Fest for a variety of fresh features. The event will begin with a collection of cool, zany and funny shorts from the New York International Children’s Film Fest (NYICFF). Spark! will also feature a performance by local band ShiSho, comprised of sisters Vivian and Midge Ramone of Kent. Just 14 and 10 years old respectively, these young musicians will wow you with their wacky lyrics and sophisticated sound. Finally, the fest will conclude with a special selection of films curated by the expert eyes at Akron Film.
Spark! is a co-production of Akron Film and the Akron Art Museum. This event is free and seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
