Teachers and Schools

Teachers, administrators, parents, homeschoolers….we see you! This school year will be unique for all of you and the museum is here to help. While we’re not currently scheduling in-person museum visits, below you’ll find digital resources and other information you can use in your classroom or send along to students at home. Additional resources and virtual events are currently in the works, so check back here often.
In the meantime, if you’d like to connect with us or have a question, please contact Curator of Education Gina Thomas McGee at gThomas@akronartmuseum.org

Live Virtual Tour Scheduling

As close to a real field trip as you can get. Book a virtual field trip for your class. During these events, an educator will lead a tour of the galleries and answer questions from participants in real time.

Art Bites

Short, bite-sized tours focused on one artwork, artist, or idea. Each video is under three minutes. Combine several to create a playlist for your students based on what you’re studying right now.

These live, virtual events will present students and teachers with one artwork from the museum’s collection and invite them to learn about it through their own curious questions.
