Rentals for the Beatrice Knapp McDowell Grand Lobby, Charles and Jane Lehner Auditorium and the Northern Ohio Golf Charities Terrace include a complimentary Individual Membership to the Akron Art Museum. Upgraded memberships are available for purchase. Meeting Room Rentals require membership purchase.

AVAILABILITY

Call or email Special Events Manager Sheri Stallsmith to inquire about availability. The museum is not available on New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas. Wedding ceremonies and/or receptions during the weekends of Labor Day and Memorial Day are subject to an additional cost.

ALCOHOL BAR PACKAGES

The Akron Art Museum owns a liquor license. Therefore, all alcoholic beverages must be purchased through the museum. Special orders can be accommodated for a fee.

*Because of our nonprofit status, we are unable to accommodate requests for rentals for political fundraisers or religious ceremonies, the exception being weddings and their accompanying receptions and private events following religious ceremonies held elsewhere (i.e. Bar/Bat Mitzvah parties). The museum also allows fundraising events by other nonprofits, although the nonprofit discount may not apply for some functions. Because the protection of its contents is the highest priority, all events must be appropriate to the mission; therefore, the museum reserves the right to deny use for any request.
