Call or email our Senior Events Manager to inquire about availability. The Museum is not available on New Year’s Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas.
Wedding ceremonies and/or receptions during the weekends of Labor Day and Memorial Day are subject to an additional cost. The information on this page is not definitive regarding special events at the Akron Art Museum.

The Museum utilizes a list of designated approved caterers. These approved caterers are the only caterers who will be permitted to provide food service at the Akron Art Museum. These caterers each have unique offerings, excellent service, and a variety of pricing options. It is the client’s responsibility to arrange catering and secure a menu with one of the Museum’s approved caterers.

As an art museum, our exhibitions and displays have first priority. While the Museum will make every effort to accommodate your event as you envision, sculptures, installations and framed or unframed artworks may be installed or reinstalled within the rental space at any time without advance notice to the client. The events manager will notify you of any exhibitions in the rental space and you will be notified of any changes that may have an immediate impact on the layout of your event. It is the client’s responsibility to contact the Akron Art Museum’s Events Manager with details regarding your event.
The Akron Art Museum cannot accommodate children’s birthday party rentals, which include art projects and/or gallery tours, during standard operating hours, but encourages patrons to turn to the other exemplary arts offerings in the Akron community that already fill that need.
