This image comes from Ketchum's project documenting vanishing lands in Alaska, 'The Tongass: Alaska’s Vanishing Rain Forest.' The work’s title, 'I like the look of clear-cut,' comes from a statement made by a forest supervisor at a public meeting. This body of work is credited with helping to pass the Tongass Timber Reform Bill of 1990, which protects the largest temperate rain forest in the world.
