More Information

The Hudson River passes along the western edge of Manhattan and forms the boundary between New York City and New Jersey. The southern part of the Hudson is a tidal estuary that empties out into New York Bay. While both shores near the mouth of the Hudson River are characterized by heavy industrialization, Bridges has here photographed the shore along New York City.
