Bridges has pioneered the use of aerial photography in the fine arts with a focus on ancient earthworks and their modern, often industrial, counterparts. “It was as if the landscape was a huge canvas,” Bridges explains. “I would take sections of it and work with it.” There are more than 70 Indian mounds in Ohio, most of which are burial sites of the Adena and Hopewell tribes.
