Daughter of unbeatable Erminia, sister of Karnau and Aloor, was chosen by the graduating class of the prestigious high school, Avenues, to speak about her experiences and thoughts on the future. Robert De Niro spoke after ZAZA. The kernal of ZAZA’s presentation was about the power of listening. She said to me “People need to listen like they aren’t listening for answers. LISTEN to LEARN. When they are done listening they need to do something. EMPATHIZE with others. Understand that women need different things. Transwomen need different from CIS women who need different from poor women, from women of color. If we are to succeed collectively we have to realize the diversity of our identities is an asset rather than an impediment.” =ZAZA
