In conjunction with the Myers School of Art at the University of Akron, the Museum is pleased to host current exhibiting artist Jess T. Dugan for a public conversation with the Museum’s Senior Curator, Dr. Jeff Katzin in the auditorium.

Dugan’s exhibition I want you to know my story is on view in the Museum’s Fred and Laura Ruth Bidwell Gallery through July 12, 2026. The show shares Dugan’s photographic portraiture and self-portraiture exploring kinship, community, and identity. Dugan and Katzin will discuss their collaboration on the exhibition as well as the broader arc of Dugan’s career, Dugan’s technical and interpersonal approaches to portrait photography, and the philosophical, ethical, and personal underpinnings of Dugan’s work.

FREE, registration requested.
