Warm up your winter with a FREE TO ALL evening of art, music, and culture featuring performances by DJ Palaces, Nature Nvoke, Floco Torres, and ABREPASO Flamenco. Dive into creativity with Nightlight Cinema, Elizabeth’s Bookshop, and food by Good Company Akron. Don’t miss this vibrant celebration!

Performance schedule:

DJ Palaces opens the night and plays during music breaks

6:15-6:45pm QIX

Duo of Stephen Clements and G.S. Stray performing vaguely funky loopy synthesizers. They are currently on a tri-county reunion tour.

6:55-7:25pm Floco Torres

Hip hop meets alternative rock

7:35-8:05pm ABREPASO Flamenco

Flamenco dancer accompanied by jazz quartet

8:15-8:45pm Nature Nvoke

Post-punk, darkwave electronic

8:55-9:25pm Disintegration

Synth-rock quartet

9:25-10pm DJ Palaces provides the grooves

 

Other elements of the night include:

  • GLOW: Neon & Light exhibition artist Alissa Eberle will demonstrate neon bending on the Museum’s terrace.
  • Yikes Design will lead Valentine’s Day card making through printmaking.
  • Good Company will provide the smells and tastes with their exclusive to this event handheld foods, baked goods, and coffee.
  • A cash/credit bar features tasty brews and wines, as well as non-alcoholic drinks and fresh-made popcorn.
  • A raffle features an Audio-technica black & silver AT-LP70xBT turntable and Acme Fresh Market gift cards. Enter the raffle in the Museum’s gift shop.
  • Galleries feature a new rotation of the Museum’s collection and new exhibitions of William Richards and Oliver Jeffers. This is the final evening to visit the GLOW: Neon & Light exhibition for FREE.

This event is wheelchair and support device accessible, but please alert us if specific accommodations are requested by emailing Public Engagement Manager, Katelyn Evans at kEvans@akronartmuseum.org.

The front entrance loop of the Museum is available for drop off/pick up, but please note performers will be using this for load in and out.

The Open Studio and Sensory area will not be available during this program. If a quiet space is needed, please see Museum staff member and we will make accommodations.

This event is loud, especially in the Museum’s lobby. Disposable ear plugs will be available at check in and in the Museum’s gift shop.
