Upcoming Event Oliver Jeffers Picture Book Family Day

In celebration of the National Association for the Education of Young Children’s “Week of the Young Child,” this event focuses on the community’s youngest learners. Bring your little one (and siblings, of course) to this celebration and exploration of storytelling and our new exhibition entitled Oliver Jeffers: 15 Years of Picturing Books! Create artwork, visit sensory exploration stations, and make priceless family memories.

Activities include:

• Painting wooden peg characters
• Felt finger puppet making
• The Day the Crayons Quit Activity: Crayon Party Hat Making
• Felt Character Making
• Storytime with Gina in the Jeffers galleries at 11:30am & 1:30pm
• Mad Libs offered on tables for families to fill out
• Reading corner curated by the Akron-Summit County Public Library
• Ballet Excel Ohio will be performing their ballet entitled “Color Me Red, Color Me Yellow, Color Me Blue” at 12pm in the auditorium.
