The Bud and Susie Rogers Garden's flexible component spaces allow you to design and stage elegants events against the dramatic backdrops of the art museum and downtown Akron. Both the plaza and the green can accomodate up to 300 guests. Or, stage an intimate event in the garden's Art Oasis, a beautiful space that can hold up to 50 guests. 

Call or email our Senior Events Manager to inquire about availability. The museum is not available on New Year’s Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas. Wedding ceremonies and/or receptions during the weekends of Labor Day and Memorial Day are subject to an additional cost.

The museum utilizes a list of designated approved caterers.

These approved caterers are the only caterers who will be permitted to provide food service at the Akron Art Museum. These caterers each have unique offerings, excellent service, and a variety of pricing options. It is the client’s responsibility to arrange catering and secure a menu with one of the museum’s approved caterers.

As an art museum, our exhibitions and displays have first priority. While the museum will make every effort to accommodate your event as you envision, sculptures, installations and framed or unframed artworks may be installed or reinstalled within the rental space at any time without advance notice to the Client. The Events Manager will notify you of any exhibitions in the rental space and you will be notified of any changes that may have an immediate impact on the layout of your event. It is the Client’s responsibility to contact the Akron Art Museum’s Events Manager with details regarding your event.

Wedding Photography

Wedding photography of parties up to 16 members is permitted in the galleries with the permission of the Senior Event Manager. Sessions MUST be scheduled in advance.
