Why is the Museum important for your employees and the community?
We believe that engaging with art keeps us human, sensitive, and inspired. Art is a natural human desire. Some of us feel called to create art ourselves or to be creative in other ways, and everyone needs time to engage with spaces that offer art. It would be impossible to live a life that did not involve engaging.
If you could borrow one work from the Museum’s collection to display in your office, what would it be?
Doovekill Poppies! It would fit in with the landscape photographs on display by local artist Miranda Imperi. Landscapes have long inspired artists with their natural beauty and the reminder of how massive and diverse our world is. It’s easy to get lost in Doovekill Poppies and the other landscape pieces on view at the Museum.
Which current or past exhibition is special to you?
Keith Haring: Against All Odds was very special! Many of us at the agency are parents of young children. When the exhibition was shown at the Museum, the local schools were all teaching about Haring’s style. The accessibility of his work could be seen as our children drew their own versions of Haring’s figures and iconography. We enjoyed being able to connect our future generation to art in this way. One of the best ways to share art is by having fun with your family and friends.
