How is art connected to your business?
Art is at the heart of our boutique hotel and restaurant, seamlessly woven into everything we do. Jazz itself is a powerful form of art—rich in improvisation, creativity, and emotional depth—and we bring that same spirit to life in our space. From the live music performances that fill our venue with energy to the curated artwork and design elements inspired by jazz culture, we aim to create an immersive experience where guests can connect with the soul of this incredible art form. Art, in all its forms—music, visual, culinary, and design—is what makes our space not just a place to stay or dine, but a celebration of creativity and culture.
If you could borrow one work of art from the Museum’s collection to display at BLU-Tique, which one would it be?
Claes Oldenburg’s Inverted Q. The playful, larger-than-life sculpture embodies the sense of bold creativity and innovation that we strive to bring to BLU-Tique. Its striking form and imaginative design would spark conversation and inspire our guests, much like the live jazz performances that fill our space with energy. Displaying the Inverted Q would create a unique connection between art and our hotel’s mission to celebrate culture, creativity, and the unexpected.
