The Ultimate Themed Dance Party Series at the Museum
Reflecting the flexibility and imagination inherent in art, the word circa allows for creative interpretations, aligning perfectly with the spirit of Akron Art Museum’s new quarterly thematic party!
Visit the Museum on select Fridays for themed parties that inspire your inner artist. In November, Circa Glow will immerse you in a dazzling world as an iridescent dancer, and on Valentine’s Day 2025, Circa Deco will captivate you with whimsical performances that evoke the spirit of the 1920s.
Circa Glow ties into the exhibition GLOW: Neon & Light, debuting on September 21 in the Karl and Bertl Arnstein Galleries. Neon and light evoke electronic music and dancing, so get ready for a sizzling night complete with a DJ providing electrifying entertainment, a fun photo booth, and glow-in-the-dark face painting.
Capture the magic with the Museum’s photo booth and with an aura photographer on standby ready to discover your colors. Get crafty with screen printing alongside glow-in-the-dark paints. Try it on paper or bring your own items to dip into the neon. A painter will be providing glow-in-the-dark face painting while electrifying entertainment that will light the night with glowing elements!
