Daniel Hesidence

Daniel Hesidence was born in Akron, Ohio in 1975 and raised in North Canton, Ohio, his mother a librarian and his father an alcohol salesman. He has lived in New York City for several decades. He received his BFA from the University of Tampa, FL in 1998 and his MFA from Hunter College in New York in 2001. He has had numerous solo and group exhibitions at galleries including Andrea Rosen (New York, NY), Shaheen Modern and Contemporary Art (Cleveland, OH), DʼAmelio Terras Gallery (New York, NY), Salon 94 (New York, NY).His work was included in the 55th Venice Biennale (2013), Art Basel Miami, Frieze New York, and the exhibition The Old, The New and the Different at Kunsthalle Bern, Switzerland in 2012. His exhibitions and paintings have been widely reviewed by publications including Art in America, Roberta Smith at the New York Times, the New York Observer, Artforum and Hyperallergic. His work is the in the collection of the MCA Chicago.
