Nordeman, who earned a master’s degree in photojournalism in 2002 from Ohio University, works on personal projects as well as accepting editorial assignments from publications including National Geographic Magazine, Smithsonian, Sports Illustrated, The Atlantic Monthly and The Nature Conservancy Magazine. Nordeman is a contributing photographer for The New Yorker and Saveur and has received awards from American Photography, International Pictures of the Year, The Best of Photojournalism, The Magenta Foundation, Photo District News—which named him one of 30 photographers to watch in 2006—and Hey, Hot Shot!, which gave him an honorable mention in 2009.
