Caption labels: "Scenes at the Williamson Diamond Mine at Mwadui in the heart of Sukumaland, Tanganyika, which has the richest diamond deposit the world has even known. It was discovered in 1940 by Dr. John Williamson after five years of scientific deduction and methodical prospecting. Most of the workers are from the local Wasukuma tribe.
