More Information

Throughout his career, Oldenburg has focused on monumentalizing everyday, ordinary objects. Harvey Buchanan, a retired art history professor from Case Western Reserve University, decided to donate 'Tea Bag' to the museum because it is “typical of the artist’s work, and sufficiently ambiguous . . . to be challenging.”
