Nagatani spent 3 months creating this photograph. All of the planes, missiles and people are kit models, meticulously built and painted by him. Even the rivets, nuts, bolts and New Mexico Air National Guard decal are exact replicas of those used by the 150th TAC Fighter Group. He arranged the models in front of a large backdrop photograph of Kirtland Air Force Base, where the Air Force’s Nuclear Weapons Center is located.
