More Information

Eunice Merton was a well-known figure in Summit County during her lifetime. The first woman ever to graduate from Ohio State University’s botanical program, she ran a large nursery in Richfield for many years. In late 1960, she became the second wife of Robert Bordner, the collector and friend of Sommer for whom the Bordner Mural was commissioned.
