More Information

This drawing illuminates Salvatore’s belief in the Lord's ability to help us do impossible things. Peter and several other disciples were out on a wind-tossed boat when “...Jesus came to them, walking on the water. And his disciples saw him walking on the water, and they were frightened, and they said, It is a false vision....But Jesus spoke to them at once and said, Have courage; it is I; do not be afraid. And Peter answered, saying, My Lord, if it is you, command me to come to you on the water.” In Salvatore’s image, several disciples walk on the water to touch the central figure, who represents both Christ and God.
