In preparation for a 1964 exhibition of Hague’s sculptures in Washington D.C., Frank photographed Hague and Angel Millbrook Walnut at the sculptor’s rustic home in upstate New York. Frank’s fondness for spontaneous, unposed compositions is evident in this image showing Hague stepping into the frame of vision.
