Jump in, draw, discover, and be delighted. This free, day-long event will be a celebration of artist Alfred McMoore and the All This Luck in My Head exhibition.
Here’s an itinerary of events:
11:00am: Akron Art Museum Opens: All Day Draw-a-thon Begins
- Visit the lobby where reams of paper will mimic Alfred’s preferred artistic medium with mark-making tools for all abilities!
11:30am: Free First Panel discussion – Summit County Mental Illness & Wellness Supports
- With Keith Stahl from Community Support Services (CSS), Danelle Hupp from NEOMed Dept. of Psychiatry, and Jamie Messenger from NAMI of Summit County
12:30pm: Free Tour of Alfred McMoore: All This Luck in My Head
4:00pm: Free Tour of Alfred McMoore All This Luck in My Head
4:30pm: Second Panel Discussion – All Ages Artmaking Benefits for Mental Wellness
- Quiet Thoughts Matter and more!
6:00 – 9:00pm: Celebrating Alfred McMoore!
- SketchNite will be on site featuring local artists will who will sketch live
- DJ in the Lobby
- Stamping/Printmaking activity with WaveSpace Studio
- Pop-Up tours and activities in the McMoore exhibition
