To celebrate the kick-off week to RETOLD: African American Art & Folklore, Pennsylvania-based artist Curlee Raven Holton will speak of his work and practiced featured in this exhibition. Guest Curator Dr. Tameka Ellington will introduce the artist.
Afterwards, guests are invited to explore the exhibition, as well as learning how to block-print lead by Zygote Press (Cleveland).
Curlee Raven Holton is a printmaker and painter whose work has been exhibited professionally for over twenty-five years in more than thirty one-person shows and over eighty group shows. Holton earned his M.F.A. with honors from Kent State University and his B.F.A. He is the Founding Director and Master Printer of Raven Editions, a publisher of limited edition prints in collaboration with artists, collectors, and curators.
