Past Event Family Day: Storytelling

Come enjoy the art of storytelling as we celebrate our RETOLD: African American Art & Folklore exhibition! This event will feature literary, visual, musical, and performative means of storytelling that the entire family can appreciate. Families will create artworks, dance alongside performers, and engage with the incredible artworks RETOLD has to offer. Registration requested. FREE. Community Partners in attendance: Akron-Summit County Public Library, Elizabeth’s Bookshop & Writing Centre, Wick Poetry Centre, Kent Area Chapter of the Links, Ballet Excel Ohio. Special Guests: Dr. Tameka Ellington, Dr. Babacar Mbaye, and Paul Gallagher.
