Join University of Akron students and faculty for a springtime series of monthly performances in the Museum. From March through June, each first Thursday of the month features different performers, ensembles, and musical instruments.

This month’s performance is with James Marron. He will be performing works from the Renaissance to the present day including instrumental masterpieces and popular songs.
More on the musician:
Classical guitarist and composer James Marron has established himself through dynamic performances of the latest in contemporary music as well as insightful interpretations of the classics. A graduate of the Manhattan School of Music, Marron has performed in Italy, France, Germany, Canada, and throughout the United States.
Marron has performed with The Cleveland Orchestra, The Akron Symphony, The Canton Symphony, The Amherst Chamber Orchestra, Red (an orchestra), The Alliance Symphony Orchestra, The Manhattan Contemporary Ensemble, The Oberlin Contemporary Ensemble, the Deadalus New Music Group and the Stow Symphony Orchestra.
Marron has held teaching posts at Ashland University, The Cleveland Institute of Music Prep. Dept., Baldwin Wallace College Prep. Dept., and the Western Reserve Academy. He is currently Guitar Instructor at The College of Wooster and The University of Akron, OH.
