Past Event The Rubber City 50-year Hip-Hop Celebration

Akron-based Keepers of the Art put on this celebration and will feature screenings of the iconic Hip-Hop films Beat Street (1984) and Wild Style (1982) between 11:30 am-4:30 pm. The evening will be headlined by DJ Cash Money, the one and only, internationally renowned.

The evening will also feature:

• The “The Midwest Floor General 1” breakdance competition featuring some of the best B-boys & B-girls from the midwest. With a grand prize of $1,000.
• The Respect tha Architect Turntable Exhibition featuring: DJ Nu Era, John Doe & Reemyk

General admission is $10. ALL ART MUSEUM MEMBERS WILL BE ADMITTED FOR $5 WITH A VALID MEMBERSHIP Tickets are available presale or at the door starting at 6 pm.
