Akron Art Museum’s 27th Annual Wine Auction Will Create The Future On Saturday, June 10th

Akron, OH: The Akron Art Museum will host its twenty-seventh Annual Auction on Saturday, June 10th, 2022. This year’s wine auction gala, “Create the Future,” will celebrate our centennial and the next one-hundred years with an evening of art, wine, and food. Participants can expect a divine evening with fine wine, a spectacular four-course dinner, and one-of-a-kind live and silent auction items. The auction supports the Museum’s public programming which connects children and adults to art and inspires creativity through exhibitions and programming.

This year’s event chair, Laura and Nevin Nussbaum said, “We believe it’s important to be philanthropically active in the communities in which you live. Arts and culture contribute to healthy and vibrant cities and communities. The Museum has been a treasured asset of the community for the past 100 years and we are happy to help support the beginning of the next 100.”

“A futuristic theme perfectly coincides with our work at the moment,” stated John S. Knight Director and CEO, Jon Fiume. “The Museum’s mission is to enrich lives with art. This event helps ensure we can do that by providing a wide range of programming to connect students to world-class art and their creativity and artistic abilities.”

This year, the Museum has launched the 10 Grand Draw. There will be 300 tickets, each for $100. One grand winner will get a $10,000 cash prize, while a runner-up will receive an Akron Art Museum Membership and a bottle of Fess Parker Wine. The winner will be drawn on Auction night.
