More Information

Heartfield brings the dead of World War I back to life so they can deliver an ironic warning. The skeletons predict that the wealthy industrialists who profited so enormously from the First World War have a vested interest in creating another conflict, whatever the cost in human life. World War II started seven years later when Germany invaded Poland.
