Akron – The Akron Art Museum’s Downtown @ Dusk concert series will be returning in person this summer to the Bud and Susie Rogers Garden for live audiences and online for a virtual viewing option. This year’s series will take place on Thursdays during the month of July with four concerts from Thursday, July 8 through Thursday, July 29. Each week, watch as local performers light up the Downtown @ Dusk stage with their musical talents from 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm.
Downtown @ Dusk concerts are free and will be held rain or shine in the garden and streamed live on the Museum’s YouTube channel and Facebook page. The Museum strives to follow the most current COVID-19 safety guidelines of our county and federal agencies. We encourage our patrons to enjoy the space safely and responsibly.
Interim Director, Jon Fiume stated, “We are thrilled to bring back Downtown @ Dusk in person this summer. This has been a long-standing favorite summer event to experience in Akron. I can’t wait for the opportunity to join visitors in the garden once again for wonderful performances by local musicians. We are carefully following health and safety guidelines in the Museum and the garden, but if you wish to watch the concerts online from your own location, we welcome you to do just that.”
The concert series will feature a diverse group of artists, ranging from Latin Jazz performers to Rock, Blues, and more! This year’s performers are not new to the Downtown @ Dusk stage, and these fan-favorites always bring unique and exciting shows to the series.
